IMO gold allys are gay. They destroyed the market witch is needed for new players.
Since gold allys make money for the game and I doubt that they would be removed.
But imo gold allys have destroyed this game and the player base.
a game where 1-2% of people are p2p cant have them be over favored for the 98% of people that arnt p2p.
some people will say that p2p is good and what not. But this game could be more than solvent with the page views it has with ad's alone.
just imo its an option that should be looked into. Hint. useing dif areas for ad. would make much more money.
Back in the games prime it used 2gb a month bandwidth. Now its much less and your monthly cost are prob 19.00 - 30.00 US. prob closer to the lower end depending on how much godaddy charges you. prob 9.95 a month.
Its not alot of money to risk. Buy just killing them or adding more game types.
I would do this if i was an owner. Make a few new game types.
I would add newbie game. With no gold
Kill IG
Add BC with gold and revives. x2
Have BC with no gold and no revives. x2
Have GLW with gold and revives. x4
Have GLW with no gold and no revives.x4
then have a game with no gold and revives.
then i would change the fee for gold to 29.99 US but for all gold games included in that cycle.
People will still pay it.
Really the game needs more game types and new players needs to be the focus. A help section that is simple should be added. Such as max buildings.
Also Starting Land and Building need to be changed.
To something like this in NG and BC.
5000 Land 5,000,000 Cards
500 Water
800 Food
1300 Living areas
200 police
500 Mines
100 Banks
300 Sci labs
300 Barracks
and 1k free land.
Needs to be added very very much. It wold help new players out very very much.
The game is really flawed. with all the changes.
Combat sci needs to be looked at very very much.
I can tell you the code has changed. Prob Fry changed it.
Combat sci should not be the only research worth while. It should be lowered.
to something like ((LV x 0.16) - (LV x .5)
it should still be added to race mod.
Examples
LV 1 .5% - .16% = .34%
LV 50 25% - 8.0% = 17%
LV 100 50% - 16% = 34%
LV 200 100% - 32% = 64%
Change Sci.
Make it a point based system instead of time based.
Like 1 point per level.
I would if i owned raise the cap on sci buildings to 30k And would try to keep sci at the same levels they are now. Around 480 points per day at cap. If it is a simple 1 point per level.
IE LV 1 cost 1 point LV 50 cost 50 points.
IMO that would help over actives and new players be able to compete at fairer levels.
Trust me i have pages and pages of this stuff.
