IMO gold allys are gay. They destroyed the market witch is needed for new players.
Since gold allys make money for the game and I doubt that they would be removed.

But imo gold allys have destroyed this game and the player base.
a game where 1-2% of people are p2p cant have them be over favored for the 98% of people that arnt p2p.
some people will say that p2p is good and what not. But this game could be more than solvent with the page views it has with ad's alone.

just imo its an option that should be looked into. Hint. useing dif areas for ad. would make much more money.

Back in the games prime it used 2gb a month bandwidth. Now its much less and your monthly cost are prob 19.00 - 30.00 US. prob closer to the lower end depending on how much godaddy charges you. prob 9.95 a month.

Its not alot of money to risk. Buy just killing them or adding more game types.

I would do this if i was an owner. Make a few new game types.
I would add newbie game. With no gold
Kill IG
Add BC with gold and revives. x2
Have BC with no gold and no revives. x2
Have GLW with gold and revives. x4
Have GLW with no gold and no revives.x4
then have a game with no gold and revives.

then i would change the fee for gold to 29.99 US but for all gold games included in that cycle.
People will still pay it.

Really the game needs more game types and new players needs to be the focus. A help section that is simple should be added. Such as max buildings.

Also Starting Land and Building need to be changed.

To something like this in NG and BC.
5000 Land 5,000,000 Cards
500 Water
800 Food
1300 Living areas
200 police
500 Mines
100 Banks
300 Sci labs
300 Barracks

and 1k free land.

Needs to be added very very much. It wold help new players out very very much.


The game is really flawed. with all the changes.
Combat sci needs to be looked at very very much.
I can tell you the code has changed. Prob Fry changed it.
Combat sci should not be the only research worth while. It should be lowered.
to something like ((LV x 0.16) - (LV x .5)
it should still be added to race mod.
Examples
LV 1 .5% - .16% = .34%
LV 50 25% - 8.0% = 17%
LV 100 50% - 16% = 34%
LV 200 100% - 32% = 64%

Change Sci.
Make it a point based system instead of time based.
Like 1 point per level.
I would if i owned raise the cap on sci buildings to 30k And would try to keep sci at the same levels they are now. Around 480 points per day at cap. If it is a simple 1 point per level.
IE LV 1 cost 1 point LV 50 cost 50 points.

IMO that would help over actives and new players be able to compete at fairer levels.

Trust me i have pages and pages of this stuff.

You want new players.

I want new players to stay.

Just saying that the game now. Is not the same when you where active.
Its not the same when i was active call it player amounts or what ever.
I just call it like i see it.
There is too much land in game.
I can say revives ruin the game. People can not agree thats fine.

Just from my perspective. If you get 100 new players per day, now all 100 will quit. The balance of power is way to far in favor of the over active and the ones with more power. How many old boards can you find where people say the same thing. There leaving from revives or gold allys. Second only to the change in owners to be honest.

I will agree fry fucked up this game alot. And while your plans for the game are your own. I dont want to see antrophia die. I could be a complete dick and give you honesty and say that the game needs a non/fan boy owner that is willing to code and fix balance issues and not care about the current community witch it needs to do. Im sure you know that antrophia is not a get rich quick model anyone should follow. I mean to be honest the game is worth to anyone with and buisness skills is around $350-$400 us. I mean you can get more from a fan boy sure, but thats not for antrophia survival.

We all love the game, thats why here so critical of it. And while no one agrees on anything, people could at least agree that Im the only one willing to speak on behalf of new players. So take it as a joke or what ever. You can say you have no time to do anything with the game and just want to make a fast sale and im not here to give you buisness advice cause it would cost more than the game is worth.

Im just saying for Antrophia to net the current asking price is not logical when the code needs to be rewritten and the game isnt profitable. To say its worth $3000 US you should be pulling in at least $250 a month sales. Im not a newb when it comes to .net, and know 90% of your ads arnt neting you anything or not much, and gold membership is around $11.00 a month but this isnt a rant about your profitablilty. If it was i would tell you to up your page views.

All im trying to say is that the current game enviroment, with revives, gold, and combat research favor overactive players and cause new players to quit or stop playing.

I mean for god sake you lose 1/2 or more of your new players because the start the game and build a train before buildings. I dont know what you want me to say.

Whats the point in having a suggestion section in the forum, If your not gonna take any notice of it and thob it off.

I dont agree with all Sadface's ideas, but there are soom good ones there.
Such as:
New games types, Newb game in particular.Newer players need the chance to work out how to at least play the game a little before they come up against players that have been here for years.And with this (as Sonar said in another post) let a couple of of older players join to run allys and help out the newbs, but not be allowed to power up.

And combat sci, way to affective, it does need to be lowered.Or balanced in someother way.
As for gold allys, this a tricky one, yes they are kinda unfair if your not in 1.But a ally can easily keep up in land if they trade over the market.

Well the markets need to be working,

old players know that the market was half the game,
with out them the game is all about gold allys

there needs to be something like auto generated sales or no gold, even if they trade over the market instead of gold it lowers land because of the time it takes to get mins and the activity needed by some players are not the same as others It makes it alot harder to trade over the market then you allways have someone that will come over and over bid.

but for a new player comeing in now. at the end of a game you might have 80k land. with no gold ally vs 400k+ with one.

its not very fair. people will say revives fix this but revives are just as stupid. i mean its still over 100% revives sometimes. and then over actives have like a 200 combat sci so its even more retarded. idk im just about to give up the game.

the game is no fun with 8 people playing.

well in that frame of mind there....

why not have it to where based on what your lvl is the price for buying mins at the market is adjusted. so if you low lvl u get mins for a lower price but if your high lvl then the mins cost more.

or even if they increase as u purchase mins they get more expensive that way if a higher player gives u all his cards then the price will eventually get too high for the lower player to afford. that way it deters the higher player from using the lower player as a buying mule...

but that is a idea i had...

from the shops you mean. its a quick fix and would work if the prices where right. but then again some people like me disband to keep lv 0 cause level dont mean anything anyways.

i would just get into gold and spam scanners from shops to have 1M land every game and just disband at the end.

the best idea i have is this tbh worked on it for a while.

A new ally building, called Mineral Silo's or something.
Each one allows gives a ally 3 points per day to trade mins with. And a max of 12 points per silo stored.
Each point can trade one mineral. A Nexus can trade mins for free.

Paying for gold would increase the points per day by 1.5.

A new sci would be added that would add 2% more mins per acre and would increase the points per day for the ally buy 2% also.

Some people will say thats to compicated.
But it still makes gold useful and not fully broken.

Also could lower the shop prices to a useful level but not as good as the market.

imo this would allow extra mins people have to be traded on the market.

and yeah a buying mule, but it would give players a reason to make more multis

just on noob game cause thats the one i saw that stuck out the most... noob game would be awesome if the levels were working... for some reason the damn levels arent being added and being that levels are the only way to stop people from joining a game or whatnot it would be hard to really administer the players in there. another thing that i am doing or plan on doing is killing off intro game the player base isnt there at all and there is no point for it to run for three people. once we get the levels things worked out i will start noob game back up. more to come once i have a chance to read thru these

Necro time..... Newb Game is all right but when 90% of the newbs spend all there cards on the first barracks train then quit. I see a way of at least give 90% more of people a shot at staying. Start people off with some buildings and some free land. At least they wont be quit as soon as they find out it takes 20 hours to do one train and then if they do log back on hit one person and lose then have no money no income and just quit, they dont ask for a reset theres no way for them to know how to get one. a help guide will only go so far when helping them with a decent start would be much more valuable.
