yes, it has been confirmed that power received from missiles is added into the factor for your % lost...

I don't feel that it should be as this gives the missile holders an advantage over players that don't carry missiles...

Take a player who is at 10Mil power... he adds in 2Mil worth of missile power = new total power of 12Mil power

if said player w/ missile power looses 6Mil power during a battle... he lost 50% of his total power

- vs -

a player without missiles at 10Mil would loose 60% if he lost 6Mil power during an attack...


** now reminding you that it is NOT possible to destroy missiles during a battle nor do missiles destroy armies **

so players that run missiles for added power have an unfair advantage over players that don't because there is 'untouchable' power that can't be destroyed during a battle...

do you feel that the % calculation should be based on Missile power + land/army power -or- just land/army power -or- just army power

Even though this is old... Your logic is wrong.

If I have 2M Missiles Power I have 2M Less power than i can hit you with in the attack range.

If antro had no attack ranges you would be right.

This issue is minor imo and has cost/advatage all ready in place And only has a effect at low power levels. So under 20M At most after that its becomes much much lower.


"Untouchable" Power
2M Power +2M missile = 50%
10M Power + 2M Missile = 16%
20M Power + 2m Missile = 9.1%
40M Power + 2M Missile = 4.76%

At higher % There is less army for power so attacking is reduced and def is reduced as well at the bonus of gaining a amount of damage that can be done by attacks.

Imo removing this effect would favor no one and remove a small part of antro that peole can and do use as strat

This effect has allready been done before when land power was raised to 100 Per acre a long time ago.

People that had Alot of land like me.... 200k land. Sat with no army at 20M power.. Making it hard to hit anyone and win

The only bonus of missiles is being able to adjust you attack range with them at lower powers where they have more of and less of a trade off.

Just to make it simple for you and to the math.. If I have missiles. I do 400,000 Less damage to you.
So at 40M Power That's 1% less damage. Thats like removing 2 combat. Its not a large effect but still a neg one.

And Would only effect you if you where to deal an attack that takes 95.25% power or higher and i dont know how often you do that.

yeah i say just leave it how it is. The effect is small, noone would use missile power at 10million power anyway. The likely scenario with 2mill missile power is to use them to stay close to revives, maybe also to add some range to your attack. Only really in glw and pure fighters in bc would this be used. Thats gonna involve at least 20-30k land. So yr gonna be around 20-30mill power at least. As mr smiley face just illustrated, the effect is small here. Lilly is sore about this from some glw way back where she failed to hit any of us for more than 40%, from above, with race, before she disbanded...and blamed it all on missile power.

I really like the missile thing because its one of the few things that is relatively uncertain in antro. Its my feeling that it is often worthwhile but there are some good players who see it as pointless. I think this game needs more features like that...not less...

If dirty d was attacking you she should have been happy you didn't have any missiles. Well see another reason to use them revives. There needs to be more things like this.
